Hamilton Casework Solutions — 60 years in the business. We've been their installer since the beginning.
A Legacy Built on Mailroom Innovation
Hamilton invented the modern mailroom sorter in 1966 and never stopped making it. Same factory, same commitment — they just kept expanding the line. Today they're Hamilton Casework Solutions, and the product covers everything from sort modules to executive credenzas. We've been selling and installing their work since the beginning.
35 Years of Installations
Est. 1966 · Hamilton Sorter · Hamilton Casework Solutions
Different eras, different organizations. Same installer, same products, same attention to how it all goes together.
Every one of these installations was designed, specified, and managed by Modern Office Systems — an authorized Hamilton dealer since the beginning.
Then & Now
From grey metal consoles and CRT monitors to custom walnut islands and smart lockers. A visual look at how the corporate mail center transformed.
See the Evolution →Modern Applications
The mailroom is just where it starts. Here's what we're building right now.
Most Popular Application
Printers, paper, supplies, and work surface — all in one built-in unit that looks like it belongs there. No more rolling carts and stray boxes next to the copier.
Package Economy
More packages than ever, less space than you'd like. Bulk sort units, shelving, and a manifest station turn the receiving room into something that actually functions.
Distributed Workplace
A floor-by-floor mail drop, built in. The executive series looks more like millwork than mailroom — right at home in a lobby or next to reception.
Workplace Design Trend
Mail, print, supplies — sometimes coffee — all in one run of casework. Architects love these because they turn the utility zone into something that actually feels designed.
Operations & Facilities
Supply rooms don't have to be the worst-looking space in the building. Lateral files, adjustable shelving, overhead storage — it comes together as a room you don't feel the need to hide.
Sustainability & Compliance
Ditch the plastic bins. A purpose-built shred and recycle station, finished to match everything else on the floor, handles compliance without looking like an afterthought.

Hamilton Casework Solutions Product Line
Every piece engineered to work with every other piece. Ships factory-assembled. We install the full line.
The original. 1–6 sections wide, shelves adjust at 1" increments, 35 lbs. per shelf standard. Open or closed back — your call.
Over 1,000 lbs. of capacity. Links to sorters and other consoles, accepts wheels, dump rims, and power. Hamilton's best seller for a reason.
Flat or angled shelves, desktop or freestanding. Built for oversized parcels and tubs that didn't exist in most mailrooms 10 years ago.
When wall installation isn't an option. 3–4 sections wide, 48"–76" high, optional bottom storage and sliding doors.
Lobbies, reception, floor-by-floor drops. The executive line looks built-in, not bolted-on — mail slot doors, credenza options, refined laminate finish.
Adjustable-height legs, dedicated scanner and label surface, full storage. The command center for a serious package room.

Campus & University Applications
Package volume is up. Student expectations are higher. The campus mail center isn't a back room anymore.
Columbia University · New York
Sort modules for resident mail, smart lockers for packages. We finished it in Columbia's signature blue — students know exactly where to go.
Otterbein University · Ohio
Library traffic, extended hours, students already stopping in. A full custom graphic wrap turned the lockers into a campus brand moment.
NC State University · Raleigh
High package volume, limited staff time. Self-service pickup on their own schedule — no lines, no one standing at a receiving desk waiting.
Design & Finish Options
Hamilton moved from the basement to the front of house because the finishes finally looked like they belonged there. Standard options are Designer White, Linen, Grey, Dove Grey, and Black — all with matching PVC edge banding. Custom laminates are available on standard lead times, and we bring physical samples to your office so your design team can confirm the match before anything gets ordered.
Hardware options include wire pulls (satin nickel or matte black), modern pulls, bow pulls, square pulls, bar pulls (6"–10"), tab pulls, and push-to-open. Every detail is available in finishes that match your hardware palette.
