When NYU Langone decided to renovate their hospital administration offices there wasn’t a detail left to chance. With plans to gut two floors of the building, the key stakeholders and architect thought through all the details of the workflow and office configuration for the desired end state.

Across both floors, 20-30 multi-functional countertop huddle spaces that also provided employee lockers and a place to responsibly dispose of trash and recycle materials. These countertops were strategically placed throughout the floors that ran end-to-end between the columns of the floor space. At first glance, it was understood just how important the fit and finish of these countertops would be and a standard product was not going to cut it.

The design of these countertop runs alternated between locker and panel with a strategically place trash and recycling unit in between. This design created symmetry at a glance when walking down the corridor. The design was perfect, installation seamless, and the look was clean, professional, and most importantly it was a perfect reflection of NYU Langone.
